Alex Job/mail2web.com car finishes 1st at Laguna Seca

Toronto, Ontario --- September 8, 2003

mail2web.com, a leading free web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., is very pleased with the 1st place performance of the Alex Job/mail2web.com team in the ALMS race in the GT-class at Laguna Seca this past weekend. With this win, the drivers – Sascha Maassen and Lucas Luhr have earned enough points to capture the 2003 ALMS GT drivers championship.

The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche GT3 RS driven by Sascha Maassen and Lucas Luhr had an early lead in the race after taking over the position from teammates in the No. 24 car driven by Tim Bernhard and Jörg Bergmeister after their car started losing voltage and required a ten minute pit stop to replace the alternator.

With only 46 points left to be earned for wins in the final two ALMS events – Miami and Petit Le Mans – the pair have earned a 50-point lead over Bernhard/Bergmeister, allowing them to technically clinch the 2003 ALMS GT drivers championship.

The team will now travel to the Miami Grand Prix scheduled September 27.
