myhosting.com® provides hosting services to thousands of developers as part of Microsoft® ASP.NET Resource Kit

Toronto, Ontario --- March 16, 2004

myhosting.com, a leading global provider of affordable and superior web and application hosting services and a brand of SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc. was one of five hosting companies world-wide to be included as part of the newly released Microsoft ASP.NET Resource Kit.

The ASP.NET Resource Kit, a valuable collection of Microsoft development applications, aids and other tools, was recently made available via download to thousands of developers around the world. Hosting companies were carefully selected based on their participation in the ASP.NET Hosting Advantage Program.

"myhosting.com was a natural choice for this program," says Shawn Nandi, product manager for ASP.NET at Microsoft Corp. "As one of the earliest adopters of Windows Server 2003, they show a clear understanding of both the server and development requirements of the Microsoft platform."

One of the requirements of the programs was to provide full support of the Microsoft .NET Framework and Windows Server 2003. This platform provides developers with a robust, dependable application platform on which to build and deploy powerful, connected applications. The Resource Kit being distributed by Microsoft contains sample code and development applications programmers can use to develop software ranging from mobile devices to e-commerce.

Each participant was also required to make available a low-cost offering for hosting on the Windows 2003 platform as well as a shared Microsoft SQL Server plan, the backend database of choice for Microsoft developers. myhosting.com now provides a means through which a Microsoft developer can deploy their applications on a commercial grade server for the equivalent cost of a typical shared-hosting account.
