3rd place finish at Lime Rock for Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche

Toronto, Ontario --- July 6, 2004

mail2web.com, a free world leading web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today a 3rd place finish in the GT-class at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race at Lime Rock for the No 24. Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Marc Lieb and Romain Dumas. The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by teammates Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister finished 10th in the GT-class.

Due to light rain, the Alex Job/mail2web.com team changed both cars to rain tires early in the race, while other teams remained on the track hoping that it would eventually clear up, which it did. The delay in an extra pit stop to change the tires back to slicks caused both cars to drop back early on. And to further complicate matters, the No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com car suffered a 20-second penalty due to a gas spill that had occurred during their pit stop.

Lieb and Dumas attempted to stage a spectacular comeback to makeup the deficit by driving aggressively for the remainder of the race. Dumas chased the second place Porsche in the last few laps of the 2 hour and 45 minute race, but traffic on the track and lack of time caused a 3rd place finish in the GT-class.

Bernhard and Bergmeister in the No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com car suffered an unusual technical problem when the half-shaft broke in lap 102, resulting in a 10th place finish.

The next race on the 2004 ALMS scheduled is July 18, 2004 at Infineon Speedway in Sonoma, California.
