1st place finish at Portland for Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche

Toronto, Ontario --- July 26, 2004

mail2web.com, a free world leading web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today a 1st place finish in the GT-class at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race this past weekend in Portland, Oregon for the No 24. Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb. The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by teammates Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister finished 4th in class.

The No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com car started the race in pole position, their third in a row, and led the race for the first 17 laps before being pushed back to third position. Marc Lieb took over on lap 36 and regained the lead again by lap 73. After an early pit stop to address an unknown vibration, Dumas returned to the car on lap 90 in fifth position and worked his way through the field finally taking the lead again on lap 119. Both Dumas and Lieb recorded their first career victory in ALMS with this win.

Although starting the race in 2nd position, the No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com car suffered damage from a hit from behind incident that occurred very early on in the race. The incident affected the performance of the car from the remainder of the race, causing it to finish 4th in class.

So far this season, the Alex Job/mail2web.com team has recorded three 1st, two 2nd and two 3rd place finishes in five ALMS races.

The next race on the 2004 ALMS scheduled is August 8, 2004 at Mosport International Raceway, just outside of Toronto.
