Another 1st place finish for Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche at Mosport

Toronto, Ontario --- August 9, 2004

mail2web.com, a free world leading web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today a 1st place finish in the GT-class at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race this past weekend at Mosport Raceway located near Toronto, Canada for the No 23. Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister. The No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by teammates Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb finished a disappointing 11th in class following a crash.

The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com car driven by Bergmeister started the race in 3rd place, taking over the 2nd place position after 30 laps. Following an earlier collision, a vibration was reported and by lap 64 Bergmeister piloted the car into the pits for a full service stop. Bernhard took over and completed the race in the lead by creating a significant half-second gap per lap.

This win for Bergmeister and Bernhard makes it two in a row for the driver paring at Mosport and brings Bernhard within four points of the overall GT driver's point leader.

Although the No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com car driven by Lieb started the race in 2nd place, and moved into the lead after making a spectacular pass on the outside of turn eight, he was forced off the track to make room for a prototype and crashed into the wall on turn two. Lieb was able to bring the car back into the pits for repairs and for a much needed driver change. Dumas returned to the race 24 laps down, but demonstrated true professionalism by never quitting. He finished 11th in class, but in the course of doing so fought hard to come back.

So far this season, the Alex Job/mail2web.com team has recorded four 1st, two 2nd and two 3rd place finishes in six ALMS races.

The next race on the 2004 ALMS scheduled is August 22, 2004 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
