1st place finish for Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche at Road America

Toronto, Ontario --- August 23, 2004

mail2web.com, a free world leading web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today their 5th consecutive 1st place finish in the GT-class at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race this past weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Timo Bernhard and Jorg Bergmeister finished 1st in the GT-class, while teammates in the No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by teammates Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb finished a disappointing 10th in class following two mechanical failures.

The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com car driven by Bergmeister started the race with the pole position, but in lap nine hit some dirt and handed the lead over to teammate Lieb in the No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com car. Fourteen laps later Lieb suffered a control arm failure on turn one, sending the car into a spin. With extreme care, Lieb successfully drove the car almost 3 miles to the pit for a lengthy stop and driver change. On lap 25 Bernhard took control of the No. 23 car and never looked back, lapping almost a half-second faster than his nearest competitor taking the car to victory lane.

The No. 24 car returned to the race with Dumas at the wheel only to retire on lap 66 with a clutch failure. During his stint Dumas managed to set the fastest GT lap of the race.

This victory for Bernhard in the overall driver's GT-class points lead by three heading into Petit Le Mans.

The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche has now won 4 ALMS races this season - Sebring, Infineon Raceway, Mosport and Road America. The No. 24 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche won the Portland race.

The next race on the 2004 ALMS schedule will be September 25, 2004 at Road Atlanta.
