1st and 2nd place finish for Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche at Road Atlanta

Toronto, Ontario --- September 27, 2004

mail2web.com, a free world leading web-based email application, and brand of global service provider SoftCom Technology Consulting Inc., announced today another spectacular 1st and 2nd place finish in the GT-class at the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race this past weekend at Road Atlanta. This is the Alex Job/mail2web.com's 6th consecutive 1st place finish this season and fourth consecutive win in as many years for this team at Road Atlanta. The No. 23 Alex Job/mail2web.com Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by Timo Bernhard, Jorg Bergmeister and Sascha Maassen finished 1st, while the No. 24 car driven by Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb and Wolf Henzler finished in a close second.

After a very tactical decision early on to bring the No. 24 car into the pits under a yellow flag to top off the fuel, the team was able to get the car back shortly following a crash that had occurred on the restart, enabling the No. 24 car to creep into 1st place by over one lap. By Lap 75 Bernhard in the No. 23 car was able to pull within a few seconds of the No. 24 car and upon the next driver change was able to take the lead. The lead continued to change back and forth the remainder of the race until 8:30 pm when the No. 23 car driven by Maassen regained the lead for the final time.

From a technical perspective, both cars ran flawlessly the entire 10 hours, pitting only for routine service and driver changes. For most of the race the two cars ran within one second of each other for top honors in the GT-class.

This first place finish by Bernhard puts him in a commanding position for the ALMS driver's championship with a 15 point lead. The final race of the 2004 ALMS season will be October 16, 2004 at Laguna Seca.
