With the increased level of personal data being stolen over the Internet as part of “phishing” scams, we are warning all users to be aware that an unknown person or persons is circulating email to mail2web.com users claiming that you need to log into a specific website that appears similar to mail2web.com to verify your account information.

First, mail2web.com never contacts any anonymous or free users for any reason via email. That means, if you casually use mail2web.com from the standard login, or have a free customized log in page that you registered for, we will never contact you to upsell you services, nor to verify any information of any sort.

If you are a paid subscriber and have purchased any services such as; Microsoft® Exchange, Global Dial-Up/Wireless or SharePoint™ Services and if we need to contact you for any reason, we will do so by clearly identifying you by the name listed in our records, the service or services you have with us, and the domain name associated with your account, if applicable. We will never anonymously contact you and ask you to update information on an unsecure page using your web browser. Should any information ever need to be updated, we will contact you as described above, and ask you to log into a secure SSL-enabled web site before any information is ever transmitted. If for any reason you are unsure of the website, we suggest that you double click on the “lock” icon that appears at the bottom of the browser window and view the SSL certificate to confirm it originates from mail2web.com.

All customers should understand that mail2web.com takes privacy concerns very seriously. However, it is also up to you to take all necessary and available steps to safeguard personal information being disclosed over the Internet. If you have any doubt about the legitimacy of the website you are visiting, simply type – http://mail2web.com (or www.mail2web.com) directly into your browser.

If for any reason you have any concerns that your password may have been compromised, we strongly recommend that you change your current password immediately.
