ActiveSync allows you to synchronize information between Outlook and your Windows Mobile device so that you don't need to enter information twice. This synchronization process can be completed while your mobile device is in its cradle, connected to your computer, or without wires. Any device that is capable of running ActiveSync can also sync Over The Air (OTA) using wireless, GPRS or other wireless technologies.

Always Up-To-Date is an extension of ActiveSync which allows Pocket PC and Smartphone Devices to automatically synchronize when new items are received to your Exchange 2003 account.

And since it doesn’t rely on SMS, you don’t have to worry about extra fees from your provider for SMS usage.

*AKU2 is a collection of enhancements, new applications and updates created by Microsoft to improve the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. AKU2 includes the Microsoft Security and Feature Pack (MSFP) which includes the Direct Push Email feature.
